For the Award’s inaugural year, we are exclusively inviting Elevate’s Community and Corporate Partners to nominate themselves or their peers through a simple and easy-to-complete application form.
Nominations will launch as of Wednesday, August 22 at 9:00am and will remain open until Friday, September 12 at 5:00pm EST
JUDGING COMMITTEE & CRITERIA
CIBC and #movethedial have organized a judging committee made up of leaders who have played an integral role in Project Belong, that will review the completed nomination forms and select the top organizations that have proven they are committed to the work and devising a plan of action to proactively embed diversity and inclusion in their workplace as a way to inspire innovation.
The judging committee will use the following criteria to base their selection:
Company has demonstrated their commitment to embedding diversity and inclusion into their business through a series of actionable strategies. Ex. They have a draft diversity and inclusion strategy (while it may be recent and rough)
Company has invested time and/or energy to understand how systemic inequalities impact people, processes, and products and key leadership must be able to demonstrate their learning.
Company signals they understand this work is an ongoing process with no clear end point.
SELECTION PROCESS & CELEBRATION
The judging committee will select the winning organizations by Friday, September 21. The successful recipients will be presented with their Award on-stage and celebrated on the evening of Wednesday, September 26 at CIBC & Elevate’s Social event at the Design Exchange and Farah Nasser will be the master of ceremony.
